Bishop Long’s Daughter Pens Sweet Message
Bishop Eddie Long’s daughter, Taylor, has taken to so social media, posting a sweet message about her father. Sharing a photo of her posing with her father, she writes:
I love you Dad. Thank you for being perfect. I cherish every moment i’ve shared w/ you even up to your last breath. I don’t blame God for wanting you back, i would too. everything i do is for you, it’s been my honor to be your daughter. thank you for being the greatest example of a wonderful father & husband. You kicked cancers *ss! Job Well Done my angel.??
On another post, she shows off her ‘Eddie’ tattoo writing:

As previously reported, on Sunday it was reported that Long passed away, after a private fight with cancer.

His church, New Birth Missionary Baptist, released the following statement:
New Birth Missionary Baptist Church celebrates the life and legacy of Bishop Eddie L. Long who is now spiritually healed and home with the Lord. Bishop Long, Senior Pastor of New Birth, transitioned from this life early Sunday morning after a gallant private fight with an aggressive form of cancer. As a man of God with unyielding faith, Bishop Long maintained his commitment to our Heavenly Father as he proclaimed that cancer would not kill his faith nor his spirit.
I am confidant through my belief in God that my husband is now resting in a better place. Although, his transition leaves a void for those of us who loved him dearly, we can celebrate and be happy for him, knowing he’s at peace.
Late last year, the 63-year-old made headlines after returning to the church with jaw-dropping weight loss and appearance. In September, it was heavily speculated that he was in hospice care and his assistant confirmed that was dealing with a “health challenge.”
Also during that time, Long released a cell phone video telling his congregation that he is in good health after switching to a diet of raw vegetables and no meat. Instead, it only triggered even more questions about his dramatic weight loss. It has been long rumored that he was battling cancer.
