Jay Pharoah On Being Fired From SNL
Jay Pharoah is finally ready to address his departure from Saturday Night Live (SNL). As previously reported, last August, Pharoah was reportedly fired from the show. To date, Pharoah, who frequently impersonated black celebs like Jay Z, former president Obama and Will Smith, had said very little about his exit. However, this week, he hinted at what went wrong. He states,
If you have multiple people on the cast saying things like ‘you’re so talented, you’re so able, they don’t use you and it’s unfair and it’s making us feel bad’. They put people into boxes. Whatever they want you to do, they expect you to do. I’m a little fiery too; I’m not a yes n*gga.
Despite being fired from SNL, Pharoah future in Hollywood looks bright. Earlier this year, he landed the lead in a comedy series called “White Famous,” based on Jamie Foxx’s personal experiences coming up in Hollywood.
