EXCLUSIVE: R. Kelly Drops $730k to Settle Massive Tax Debt
R. Kelly Drops $730k to Uncle Sam
theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports, R. Kelly has dropped $730k to settle a massive unpaid tax debt and the IRS has dropped their hunt for his assets and property, dropping the lien against the singer.
Last year, the IRS slapped the singer with a federal tax lien accusing him of refusing to pay up for back taxes.
The lien stated Kelly owed a total of $730,683.80 in taxes for the year 2013. The IRS explained if he didn’t pay up in full ASAP, they would begin the process of seizing his property and assets to collect on their money.
On June 9th, docs were filed by Uncle Sam, headed to Illinois court who explained they are releasing the lien against Kelly.
The singer coughed up the full $730k to the IRS and as a result his tax bill has been settled in full. Kelly isn’t out of the clear just yet, with the singer still having multiple unpaid tax liens still active.
