Mike Epps & Evan Ross Join ‘Star’
More cast announces have been shared for Season 2 of he Fox hit music drama Star. Reportedly, Evan Ross has been tapped for a key recurring role. Comedian Mike Epps will also appear on the series. Star follows three talented singers – running from their pasts, desperate for a new start and with ambitions of stardom – as they navigate the cutthroat music business.
Ross will play Angel, nephew to Jahil Rivera (Benjamin Bratt) and a DJ with a bad-boy streak who is heavy in the Latin music scene. Mike Epps will appear in the Star/Empire crossover episode as Jay Holland, the girls’ record label president who is willing to cross the line with one of them. Luke James will play Noah Brooks, a top-selling R&B artist at the label. He is charming and a sweet talker with ambitious streak.
The second season will premiere on September 27, with a crossover with Empire.
