Tiffany Haddish’s Ex-Husband Denies Abusing Comedian
Tiffany Haddish’s ex-spouse, William Stewart, is denying allegations made against him in her new book. As previously reported, in her memoir “The Last Black Unicorn”, the “Girls Trip” break-out star accuses her ex-husband that she married and divorced twice, of physical abuse. She also details an incident that his abuse resulted in her having a a miscarriage. Recalling a time when he got violent towards her, she says that after a comedy show, he became outraged that she was speaking to another male comedian (Tom Green). She writes,
He grabbed me by the collar, he was like, ‘It’s time to go to the room now,’ in front of everybody. Just snatched me by my shirt, and pulled me to the elevator and threw me in it…once we got to our hotel room, he was so quick. He snatched me by the neck and slammed me into the wall.
[Click here for the backstory]. Tiffany’s ex, William, says he never physically or verbally abused the comedian. He tells V-103,
I married Tiffany, her issues, and not the Hollywood lifestyle. I have never beat or hit or called a woman a ‘MF or B’ while having a disagreement ever in my life. I never caused a miscarriage, I have documents to prove this. Tiffany advised me about a month ago about the book and she told me that I would be furious.
He adds,
I’m not gonna try to tear something down that I helped build. I just wanna come on this show to tell the truth. I have been seeking legal representation, I don’t wanna bring all the dirt out. Tiffany and I, I believe that we can settle this.
Tiffany has yet to respond to her ex William’s comments.
