Will Smith’s “Bright” Draws 11 Million Viewers!
Will Smith’s “Bright” Snags 11 Million Viewers
Despite some scathing reviews from critics, not to mention Chance the Rapper’s critique, “Bright” received some impressive numbers.
Reportedly, an average 11 million U.S. Netflix viewers watched the David Ayer fantasy-drama over its first three days on the streaming service.
In fact, it’s one of the streamer’s biggest feature releases to date — one that reportedly cost $90 million. Stranger Things 2 brought more than 15 million viewers to its premiere over the same period of time.
The perceived success of “Bright” comes after a near-universal panning from critics. The Will Smith-Joel Edgerton cop has already received a sequel.
