Joe Jackson Reacts to Accusations That Son Michael Jackson Stole Music From Quincy Jones
Michael Jackson’s father, Joe Jackson, is reacting to comments that Quincy Jones made about his late son in an interview. Last week, Quincy made headlines when he told Vulture that MJ stole a lot of music. Quincy said about the legendary pop star,
I hate to get into this publicly, but Michael stole a lot of stuff. He stole a lot of songs. [Donna Summer’s] “State of Independence and “Billie Jean.” The notes don’t lie, man.
He continued,
He was as Machiavellian as they come. Greedy, man. Greedy. “Don’t Stop ’Til You Get Enough” — Greg Phillinganes wrote the c section. Michael should’ve given him 10 percent of the song. Wouldn’t do it.
Responding to Quincy’s comments, Joe says,
I raised Michael, he’s my son. Quincy Jones knows better.
Quincy has yet to respond to Joe’s comments.
