Columbus Short Posts Message After Jail Release
Columbus Short has taken to social media, after being released from jail. This week, he posted a photo with his son captioning it:
DADDIES HOME and back to the things that matter most. No matter the lies or rumors that got thrown out there. Its a blessing to be home to the TRUTH.
He added,
#BackToBasics #GodIsAble
The 35-year-old actor was released from jail this week, after serving only 34 days of a one-year jail sentence for allegedly beating his wife, Aida Abramyan. Last November, he was arrested for allegedly hitting Aida during an argument.
He was ordered domestic violence education and 36 months probation. However, he was already on probation for an altercation that he had in 2014 where he was involved in a bar fight that knocked a man unconscious. The situation resulted in him being sent to jail. Last week, Aida denied these reports stating,
The media needs to check their facts. Columbus and I have a great marriage. Period. The media is ridiculous for posting this bs. I love my hubby and will continue to support him.
Short, who also starred in ‘Scandal’ and most recently on ‘True To The Game’, has openly discussed his issues with substance abuse, including alcoholism and cocaine.
