EXCLUSIVE: Carmen Electra Sues Adult Club – I’m Not A Stripper, Don’t Use Me To Sell Tix!
theJasmineBRAND exclusively reports, Carmen Electra is not pleased with being portrayed as a stripper and is lawyering up! The 46-year-old actress filed suit against an Arizona gentleman’s club for using her face to sell tickets.
Electra filed suit against Tempe, Arizona-based Elite Cabaret for using her face to promote their strip club.
Electra describes herself as an American model, actress, business woman and tv personality with over 4 million social media followers.
The model claims Elite Cabaret has been using alerted images of her in advertisements and promotions for their club on social media.
She says if they had asked for permission, she would have enthusiastically declined. She takes issues with the promotion, saying it appears she is somehow affiliate with the club, has contracted her to perform at and/or participate in events at the club or was hired to endorse the partially nude strip/gentleman’s club.
She says the promotion made it appear as if she was going to attend each event and participate in the advertised activities.
Electra says the use of her face to promote the club is damaging her career, saying her reputation is critical to booking future gigs. She points to the club using her image twice on their Facebook in 2015 and twice on their Instagram page the same year.
She is furious they attributed their involvement with strip clubs, nude entertainment and associated with her. She calls their actions purely profit driven and isn’t pleased it made it appear she condoned the activity of stripping for or providing adult entertainment to the club’s patrons.
