Angela Bassett Responds To Outlet Mistaking Her For Omarosa Manigault-Newman
The New York Times recently caught some flak for mistaking Angela Bassett for a former White House Communications Director. In a caption to a photo of which captures Tiffany Haddish and Bassett presenting an award to Rachel Brosnahan, the American Horror Story actress is identified as Omarosa Managuit-Newman.

Reportedly, on Tuesday, the Buzzfeed writer shared the error while reviewing the early editions of the publication’s covering for the 2018 Emmy’s. The NY Times responded to the mistake early Tuesday morning. Tweeting,

The 60-year-old actress has responded to the error, as well. She tweeted a message swiftly Tuesday morning, drawing inspiration from a GIF of Olivia Pope stating ‘It’s handled.’,
