Tamera Mowry-Housely Pens Open Letter To Niece Killed In Thousand Oaks Shooting: It’s Not Fair
The country is mourning the thirteen victims of the Thousand Oaks, California shooting – including “The Real” host/actress Tamera Mowry-Housely and her husband, Adam Housely. As we previously reported, the couple revealed that they had been diligently searching for their niece, Pepperdine student, Alaina Housely, when they discovered she had been at the bar where ex-Marine Ian Long opened fire. Adam and Tamera are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Alaina on social media. Tamera posted this message:
“Alaina. My sweet, sweet Alaina. My heart breaks. I’m still in disbelief. It’s not fair how you were taken and how soon you were taken from us. I was blessed to know you ever since you were 5. You stole my heart. I will miss our inside jokes, us serenading at the piano. Thank you for being patient with me learning how to braid your hair, and I will never forget our duet singing the national anthem at Napa’s soccer game. I love you. I love you. I love you. You are gonna make one gorgeous angel. My heart and prayers are with every victim of this tragedy.”
Adam also paid tribute to his niece, echoing Tamera’s sentiments. He said:
“@adamhousley My sweet, sweet…Alaina. Oh how I miss you. Oh how I miss u. #heartbroken”
Tamera’s twin sister, actress Tia Mowry-Hardrict also mourned her extended family member on Instagram. She used this caption:
“@tiamowry Our sweet Alaina. We are broken. Our hearts are broken. We love you.”
Our hearts and prayers are with the Housely family as well as the families of the other victims of the Thousand Oaks tragedy.
