Kanye Called Out For Using Phone During Cher Musical
Kanye West Used His Phone During Cher’s Broadway Musical, Cast Calls Him Out on Twitter
The Cast of “The Cher Show” are using their Twitter-fingers to point out Kanye West‘s musical etiquette. Rapper Kanye West and his wife, reality TV star Kim Kardashian, attended opening night of the Broadway play, “The Cher Show” – a musical chronicling the life of legendary singer, Cher. Apparently, Kanye was noticeably uninterested in the show, and used his phone throughout the performance. Actor Jarrod Spector, who plays Cher’s famous ex-husband Sonny Bono, called Kanye out on Twitter. He said:
“Hey @kanyewest so cool that you’re here at @TheCherShow! If you look up from your cell phone you’ll see we’re doing a show up here. It’s opening night. Kind of a big deal for us. Thanks so much.”
Kanye apologetically responded, acknowledging his appreciation for the performers. Kanye tweeted:
“the dynamics of Cher and Sonny’s relationship made Kim and I grab each other’s hand and sing “I got you babe” please pardon my lack of etiquette. We have so much appreciation for the energy you guys put into making this master piece.”
Despite Kanye’s perceived lack of interest in the show, Kim Kardashian is a well-documented Cher stan! Kim and her BFF Jonathan Cheban dressed up as Sonny and Cher for their 2017 Halloween costumes.
Kim even dressed up as her idol for Cher’s Las Vegas concert. Kim Kardashian took her high school best friends to meet her backstage after the show, which was shown in a recent episode of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”
