Issa Rae And ‘Insecure’ Writer Amy Aniobi Team Up For Romantic Musical
Issa Rae and Amy Aniobi work very well together. Not only is Amy Aniobi a writer and producer on Issa Rae’s hit HBO series Insecure, it was reported earlier this week that the two will be working on a new limited series for HBO about the Cabbage Patch Kids riots. Now, it appears Amy and Issa will be working on yet another project, this time it’s a romantic musical entitled Love In America.
Love In America will be the future feature film to come from Issa Rae’s ColorCreative imprint. The film, which is being developed for Universal, will also be produced by Issa’s production partner, Deniese Davis. Aniobi, of course, will write the script along with Khiyon Hursey and Harrison Richlin.
Outside of Love In America, Aniobi is also working on another project with Universal. She is writing a dramedy titled Bye Bye Bye, that is being produced by Kevin Hart.
