Gayle King Shares Nasty Emails From Critics Trashing Her Appearance – Chance The Rapper & Ava Duvernay Defend Her
No matter how famous, no one is exempt from the nasty comments of internet trolls. The latest victim of such cyber bullying is CBS anchor, Gayle King. She recently revealed a few rude emails she’s received on her work account from “CBS This Morning” viewers. The troll emailed these harsh criticisms for Gayle:
“Shed the glasses, you look like sh*t”
They continued in another email:
“A sex symbol with glasses you are NOT!”
Gayle commented on the horrific emails with this Instagram caption:
“‘thinkin’ this person msised the kinder gentler memo/thanx for watching @cbsthismorning! sipe left to feel more love @jdickerson advised me NOT to engage.. clearly he’s more mature….”
A few of Gayle’s celebrity friends chimed in, including Chance the Rapper. He hilariously advised Gayle of her troll’s likely predicament:
“First of all you make glasses look better, secondly you’re so kind for posting this poor soul on your page. Otherwise he’d been stuck wondering if anyone cared for his rudeness and unsolicited opinion. You are a class act, him? Probably stick in traffic on his way to another lasik appointment.”
Media personality/author Charlamagne tha God and director Ava Duvernay advise on how to handle nasty comments like these. Charlamagne said:
“Why are you feeding the trolls?? The sign clearly says DON’T FEED THE TROLLS!!”
Ava chimed in:
“@cthagod agreed!”
Ava continued, offering encouragement to her fellow four-eyed friend:
“Your glasses are dope on your beautiful face. And this sad soul doesn’t deserve your attention, let alone your amplification.”
