Mo’nique Seemingly Responds To Steve Harvey Controversy
Mo’nique Seemingly Responds to Steve Harvey Interview W/ Vintage Video Of Muhammad Ali
theJasmineBRAND exclusively reported Mo’nique and Steve Harvey had a verbal discourse while on his show late January. Fast forward to the present day and clips from the interview were released this week, giving way to the conversation shared between the two comedians.
Overall, Harvey believed Mo’nique should have approached he boycott against Netflix differently and ultimately felt she should apologize to Lee Daniels, Oprah Winfrey, and Tyler Perry – as they should do to her also. While Mo’nique understood Harvey’s perspective, she also argued it was her integrity she was solidifying.
Mo’nique seemingly responded to the interview with a video of the late Muhammad Ali dissecting what it means to him to have integrity vs. money. Ali stated:
Money means nothing to me when it comes to the freedom of your people…I wouldn’t want that yacht if I couldn’t go to the black neighborhood and protest black woman being raped. The hell with the yacht.
Mo’nique’s caption stated:
I JUST HAD TO REPOST THIS. THIS IS FOR ANYBODY PUTTING MONEY FIRST AND NOT THE LOVE OF YOUR PEOPLE. I LOVE US FOR REAL!!!!!!
In addition to her initial post with Ali, she later added another video post which included the interview and a distinct definition of the phrase “selling out.”
Mo’nique captioned the video:
THIS GAVE ME CHILLS! WHAT HAS CHANGED!!! Y’all I LOVE US 4 REAL!!! WE DESERVE TO LOVE US BETTER!
