Oprah Defends Meghan Markle – She’s Being Portrayed Unfairly [VIDEO]
Oprah Winfrey has tasked herself with defending former actress and current Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle. The wife of Prince Harry, who is set to give birth to the couple’s first child soon, has been at the center of some negative press ever since she and Prince Harry went public with their relationship. Now, Winfrey has decided to speak up in her defense.

Between her warring family members, specifically her father and her half-sister, continuous reports of tension with the Royal Family and her constant need to stray away from royal tradition, Meghan Markle’s addition to British royalty has been anything but a smooth ride. This has caused her to accumulate tons of negative press throughout her time with Prince Harry—and the headlines are certainly not getting any better.

Apparently, this is why Oprah Winfrey is defending Markle because she feels that she’s “being portrayed unfairly” in the media. In case you didn’t know, Winfrey is close to Prince Harry and Markle, she attended their wedding last year, so it’s unsurprising that she is speaking up about her publicly.
Oprah, who just announced a partnership with Prince Harry on a forthcoming mental health series, defended Markle while being interviewed by Gayle King on CBS Morning News.
“I think she’s being portrayed unfairly, and I feel that if people really knew her they would know that she is not only everything we perceive of her in being graceful and dynamic in holding that position, but she just has a wonderful, warm, giving, loving heart. I think it’s very unfair.”
King followed up, adding:
“She’s very kind. She doesn’t seem to buy into [her bad press] though.”
To which Winfrey replied:
“I think that’s remarkable that despite everything that’s going on she does not read anything.”
Markle and Prince Harry are expecting their first child sometime this spring, with some reports stating that she will give birth by the end of April.
