EXCLUSIVE: “Black Ink Crew Compton” Spin-Off Underway
theJasmineBRAND exclusively reports, a new city is allegedly on the way for the Black Ink Crew franchise. Sources tell us that the hit series is reportedly heading to Compton, California. Compton is a city in southern Los Angeles County, California, United States, situated south of downtown Los Angeles. Compton is one of the oldest cities in the county. While no specific casting details have been revealed,
sources tell us that filming has already began.
Black Ink Crew debuted on January 7, 2013.
The series chronicles the daily operations and staff drama at an African American-owned and
operated tattoo shop in Harlem, New York.
The spinoff Black Ink Crew: Chicago premiered October 26, 2015.
On August 20, 2018, the series was renewed for a seventh season, which premiered on September 19, 2018.
To date, a number of popular reality shows have used the Los Angeles area as it’s backdrop including: Marriage Bootcamp, Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Bad Girls Club, Keeping Up With the Kardashian’s, Million Dollar Listing LA and more.
