Model Jordyn Woods will soon add actress to her resume as the 21-year-old announced Wednesday she will be guest starring on the upcoming season of ‘Grown-ish.’ In a post, Woods shares her exciting moment overjoyed after booking her first acting role. Woods writes,
“I’ve been waiting to share this with you guys but I am SO excited to guest star on this season of Grownish. It returns June 5th on Freeform.”

She continues, adding to take risk with your journey.
“This was the first role I’ve ever booked and I was nervous at first but I got past that and had the best time. Take risk and stay consistent to your journey, you never know what the world has to offer.”
The model is set to play a young freshman named Dee, who will be a “sweet soul with a soft-spoken and sincere vulnerability, according to reports. Woods’ character will share scenes with Trevor Jackson, who plays Hawkins dorm RA Aaron.

As previously reported, Woods opened up about her life in the aftermath of the bombshell cheating scandal involving NBA star, Tristan Thompson and former girlfriend, Khloe Kardashian.
Woods says she still suffered bullying after the incident took on a life of its own earlier this year. During a recent interview she says:
“My little sister was bullied in school and I wanted to show her that I was bullied by the world. I understood for the first time what it’s like being a black woman — in a just society, how we can be so disrespected and nobody can really understand to that extent until you have lived it.”
Season 2 of the hit series, which premieres June 5, will see Yara Shahidi‘s character, Zoey Johnson, navigating the remainder of her sophomore year without the financial help of her father, Andre Johnson, played by Anthony Anderson, after coming clean to cheating on a final exam.
