‘Jersey Shore’ Cast Upset Over Losing Award To ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’, Mona Scott Young Responds

The 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards aired last night on the cable network and there were a host of winners—but the cast of Jersey Shore were not apart of that group…and they were not happy about it. When they lost out to enduring reality TV hit Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, they didn’t hold back their displeasure.

VH1’s Love & Hip Hop franchise is one of the most popular reality TV collectives around, so it shouldn’t be that surprising that they recently won the MTV Movie & TV Award for “Reality TV Royalty”—however the cast of MTV’s Jersey Shore apparently disagrees.

After the award was announced, not only could you see cast members of the show visibly upset at their loss, but some of them even carried over their feelings on social media, specifically cast members Deena and Angelina.

When someone pointed out to Deena that Jersey Shore was off the air for several years, she responded with this:

“And came back and still got higher ratings then most other reality shows .. and on demand we were still top watched .. stating facts .. look it up if you think other wise”

Another commenter suggested that Deena was upset because she considers Love & Hip Hop Atlanta too ratchet, causing her to tweet:

“Nope would have felt the same way if they won over us .. we’re all “ratchet” in our own way”

As for Angelina, she fired off a series of posts on Instagram, in which she called the show’s loss “bulls**t,” “a joke” and proclaimed that Jersey Shore were “forever the real winners.”

Love & Hip Hop Queen B, Mona Scott Young, got wind of the speculated shade and offered her take on the situation with an Instagram post of her own that definitely embraced the “petty”:

“They SHORE is salty” *eats popcorn…from our #MTV award. ????? ? ? ? ? ? #LHHATLWon #Periodt #pettyposttuesday ???”
