Wendy Williams Allegedly ‘Not In A Good Place’ With Sobriety, According To Insider
Wendy Williams has been living it up and getting lots of support as she flourishes after filing for divorce. But behind the scenes, one insider claims that the daytime talk show host is struggling with her sobriety.
“Wendy is not in a good place. Friends close to her are worried she’s spiraling out of control.”
The concern comes after Williams opened up about living in a sober house just days after she returned to her show after taking a break for two months.
“After I finish my appointments … I am driven by my 24-hour sober coach back to a home that I live in the tri-state with a bunch of smelly boys who have become my family. … We talk and read and talk and read and then I get bored with them. Doors locked by 10 p.m. lights out by 10 p.m., so I go to my room and stare at the ceiling and fall asleep to come here and see you. So that is my truth.”
Just days after that message she reportedly relapsed and was rushed to the hospital. She returned to the show the next day and said she was doing fine. She ended up filing for divorce from her husband of more than 20 years, Kevin Hunter, amid speculation that he fathered a love child with his mistress of more than a decade.
“I’m moving out of the sober house in just a few days. It’ll be Wendy on her own. I have to tell you, I’ve been dealing with issues with addiction, alcoholism, and I have a whole new life that I planned for myself and my son. Believe me you, when you lay in a room with no TV and four gray walls all day and no telephone… and you lay there and you think about your life – this is my life in the sober house – it’s one of the best things, honestly, that could have ever happened to me.”
“Addressing my sobriety, my addiction, head-on has really helped me sort out every single compartment of my life,” she said. “I have a commitment to me and my son to come out of here better, stronger and faster than ever.”
But lately, Williams has been out and out from NYC to L.A. She also has new arm candy, Marc Tomblin, 27, who also happens to be a convicted felon.
She also had a breakdown as she was hanging out with Tomblin when reporters asked her about her and Hunter’s 19-year-old son, Kevin Hunter, Jr.
What do you think about the status of Wendy’s sobriety?
