Jussie Smollett Unfollows Lee Daniels On Social Media
Former Empire Actor Jussie Smollett Unfollows Director Lee Daniels From Social Media
Actor Jessie Smollett seemingly has moved on from the hit FOX series ‘Empire‘ as he has clicked the unfollow button on his former director, Lee Daniels Instagram page. The unfollowing may or may not have to do with Daniels being very vocal in the last few weeks speaking on Smollett’s character being ultimately written out of the show earlier this month. Daniels took to Twitter to address a possible Smollett return, he wrote earlier in June,
“This is not factual. Jussie will NOT be returning to Empire.”

Last month, during an interview after being asked about his decision to first back Smollett and stand by him following his alleged attack, he publicly admitted,
“I’m beyond embarrassed.”

Daniels continues,
“If it turned out that he did it, was guilty, and all of it’s accurate…Of course, there’s some doubt. I’m telling you that because I love him so much. That’s the torture that I’m in right now because it’s literally if it were to happen to your son and your child, how would you feel? You would feel, Please, God, please let there be that glimmer of hope that there is some truth in this story. That’s why it’s been so painful. It was a flood of pain.”
Nonetheless, Jussie has unfollowed Lee.

Last week, new details surrounding Jussie Smollett’s alleged racially motivated attack was released. On Monday, police release footage showing the Empire actor with a noose around his neck following the attack. The video is from the body cam of an officer. It shows Jussie’s face blurred inside his home with a rope around his neck.
