Chris Brown’s Mother Defends Him Amidst Controversial Lyrics About Black Women

This week, singer Chris Brown made headlines for his recent release song, “Need A Stack” on his latest album Indigo, featuring Joyner Lucas and Lil Wayne. In Browns’ verse, he spoke about only wanting to sleep with woman with good hair texture. The lyrics go,

“I’ll leave a paper trail, then I’ma need a tip drill
Shakin’ it, turn the lights down
Bust it for the light bill
Diggin’ it, then I’m lickin’ all on that p****, put it right there
Only wanna f*** the black b****es with the nice hair.”

The Grammy award winning singer clapped back following the blacklash on his Instagram stories. Brown defended his expression by calling out women who are selective of the men they encounter. He writes,

“Yall trippin trippin. Yall b****es dont wanna f*** da n***a wit da f***ed up teeth do you?????!!!!! Only b****es upset is the uglies (not the black queens)”

On Tuesday, Brown’s mother, Joyce Hawkins, took to her Instagram to defend her son. She writes,

“HEADLINE NEWS!!!! HAIR!!! SERIOUSLY????! NOW WHAT HAS THIS WORLD COME TO????”

She continues,

“Stay positive, don’t nobody wanna hear that!!!”

Brown posted a video challenge asking those that might disagree with his lyrics to post a video of their appearance.
