Bill Cosby Tells Men To ‘Man Up & Become Men Of Valor’, As He Quotes Scripture Celebrating His 82nd Birthday
Bill Cosby got extra spiritual for his 82nd birthday. The actor, who is currently behind bars after being found guilty for sexual assault, shared a message for his followers on social media Friday.
He said his fellow inmates at SCI Phoenix correctional facility asked him what he wanted for his birthday. His response? A bible scripture encouraging men to “man up.”
“I politely replied that the greatest present for me is: 1 Corinthians 13:11 — When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. To all men… it’s time to be Great Fathers, Great American Citizens & Great Husbands. Man Up & Become Men Of Valor.”
He then used hashtags to tell his wife, Camille Cosby.

This isn’t the first time Cosby has shared a message about manhood and fatherhood from jail. On Father’s Day, he also dubbed himself “America’s Favorite Dad” as he talked about the history of slavery.

He also reportedly is giving three lectures a week during his time in jail. He was sentenced to three to 10 years last September.
