Dreamville’s Ari Lennox Releases Missy Elliott ‘BMO’ Video
Dreamville artist Ari Lennox, 28, releases a seductively, sexy new video for her single, “BMO”. The track appears on her recently released LP, Shea Butter Baby, she dropped back in May. In the video, the R&B singer’s gives some flashy retro-vibes, complete with different looks that include crushed velvet textures, shiny backdrops that we’re inspired by a few of her favorite artists.

The Dreamville singer’s pays homage to two of her favorite artists. In a tweet, she reveals she was inspired my Total and Missy Elliott. She says,
“This one of my favorite music videos ever. The song and music video were inspired by Total and Missy Elliott.”
Ari pays her homage by standing in front of a metallic backdrop and using moves/camera angles that mirror Elliott’s “The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)” video. To add, Ari’s bubble bath and living room shots are reminiscent of Total’s “Trippin’” visual.


After watching, Ari was co-signed by one of her favorite as Missy posted a tweet at Lennox. Missy writes,
“You know I rock out to ya music! You be snapping.”

With a few heart emojis and faces, Ari responds,
“Thank you legend so much.”
Missy adds some encouraging words,
“Keep doing ya thang no matter what! You shinning.”

Ari recently appeared on “Self Love” from the highly-anticipated Dreamville Records compilation Revenge of the Dreamers 3. The album’s artist list is stacked which featured Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Vince Staples, DaBaby, Young Nudy, Smokepurpp, SkiMask The Slumpgod, Buddy, Smino, and lots more.
