Normani Pays Homage To Beyonce, J.Lo, Omarion & Ciara In “Motivation” Video
Nicki Minaj warned us that Normani is “that b*tch!” Earlier this week, the former Fifth Harmony singer announced the release date for her latest single, “Motivation” – co-written by her mega-star tourmate, Ariana Grande. The single’s cover art foreshadowed the music video’s nostalgic early 2000s music video!

In the video, Normani paid homage to several of our favorite music videos of the 106 & Park/TRL-era. Terrence J and Rocsi even made an appearance!

Normani featured themes from a few of her favorite videos, notably including Beyonce‘s “Crazy in Love”-walk, and the basketball court scene from “I’m Real” by Jennifer Lopez and Ja Rule.
“Crazy in Love” – Beyonce

“Just a Friend 2002” – Mario

“I’m Real (Remix)” – Jennifer Lopez and Ja Rule

“Get Up” – Ciara and Chamillionaire

“Touch” – Omarion

“Motivation” was met with rave reviews by Normani’s fellow industry peers.

Her friend, model/socialite Lori Harvey, posted photos from her cameo in the video!

The Houston, TX-bred singer later thanked everyone for the support of her solo career.
