Nicki Minaj Changes Name On Twitter To ‘Mrs. Petty’ Amid Marriage Rumors
Call her Mrs. Petty!
Nicki Minaj has already made her upcoming marriage to boyfriend Kenneth Petty social-media official.
She changed her Twitter name to “Mrs. Petty,” as speculation that they’re getting married very soon swirls.
Minaj, who’s real name is Onika Tanya Maraj, will reportedly hyphenate her last name once she and Petty are married. After that, her legal name will be Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty.
While there are rumors that they’ve already tied the knot, Nicki has insisted they aren’t married yet. She said earlier this week that wedding will be happening in the next 80 days.
“[We] filed for the marriage license and we still had to pick it up and I was traveling, by the time I came back, we had to renew it again. From that time, you have 90 days to get married. That was about a week ago, so now I have about 80 days.”
She added that she’ll have to put the idea of a lavish wedding on pause for now.
“I have to work on my album and I have a lot to focus on that [so] I don’t want to do the big wedding now. We’ll do the big wedding later. I’ll be married before my album comes out, but will have my wedding after the album comes out. Before the 90 days is over, yes, I will be married. I’m very happy about that because my baby makes me so happy.”
theJasmineBRAND previously reported that Minaj and Petty were spotted picking up their marriage license in Beverly Hills last month. The two first dated when they were 16, and rekindled their romance last year.
Congrats to Nicki and Kenneth!
