A$AP Rocky Slammed By Trump Supporter For Not Thanking President After Jail Release
A$AP Rocky is back in the states, and some supporters of President Donald Trump think the rapper needs to send the President a shoutout.
A$AP Rocky was jailed in Sweden for more than three weeks after was accused of assault following a fight.
He was released after his trial and thanked the Swedish court system as well as his fans.
But some supporters from Trump, like Ohio pastor Darrell Scott, who also say they had a hand in A$AP’s release, claim the rapper forgot about them. Scott said,
“All he had to do was do a two-minute call to say thank you. Rocky hasn’t even called us and said, ‘Hey, man, thank you guys. I appreciate it,’ in private. Just in private.”
He also reportedly said of A$AP’s team,
“I was like, man, you ungrateful motherf****rs, you. I can’t believe you. The White House didn’t ask for anything. There were no conditions attached, but my condition and Kareem [Lanier]’s condition was that all I’m asking for you guys to do is say thank you.”
Trump’s backers are reportedly surprised they have yet to receive a thank you considering A$AP’s manager previously hinted that one would come if A$AP was released. He reportedly said while A$AP was still in jail,
“If a serial killer gets Rocky out of jail, I would have no problem saying thank you to the serial killer.”
While A$AP was in jail, Trump spoke with the Prime Minister in Sweden, and said he personally pleaded for Rocky’s release via bail.
While Rocky wasn’t released until after his trial wrapped, it’s not clear if Trump and his team actually had a hand in it considering Sweden officials made it very clear that the country does not allow foreign leaders to get involved with its affairs. They also pointed out Sweden doesn’t have a bail system.
Do you think A$AP should publicly thank Trump? Tell us in the comments.
