Dwyane Wade Reacts To Rumors He’s Coming Out Of Retirement
Retired NBA star, Dwyane Wade sparked rumors of a possible return to the court after a recent interview. The 37-year-old says he likes to keep his body in shape just in case he gets that call. Wade stated:
“I’m done, but my trainer is going to keep me in shape just in case something happens. I’m going to stay in shape because you never know. Never say never.”

As Wade’s “never say never,” comment drew more attention online, the 3-time NBA champion jokingly says his 10-month-old daughter isn’t happy about any news of a return,
“Kaavia heard these rumors about me coming back. As you can tell she ain’t playing those games. Stop getting me in trouble people.”

He continues, addressing any reports of coming out of his short retirement,
“I’m retired asf! I love the game and you will still see me working out & teaching it but that’s to stay in shape.”
In his interview, Wade says he’s staying loyal to long term NBA friend, LeBron James and the Lakers over the city rivals Los Angeles Clippers,
“Obviously with LeBron being on the Lakers, I have a dog in the fight, but you have the Lakers and Clippers, two of the best teams in the league and the hottest tickets in town. People want to go watch both of these teams because they’re both in the running to come out of the West and play in the Finals.”

On what team he thinks will win the next NBA championship he says:
“They could play each other in the Western Conference finals, which would be great. Golden State still has the heart of a champion with everyone they have coming back, but I think L.A. is going to win the championship.”
Wade recently retired at the end of the 2019 season and eventually moved to the Los Angeles area. With having LeBron as a former teammate for four seasons with the Miami Heat, now their sons will be have the same opportunity together at Sierra Canyon in Chatsworth. Wade’s son, Zaire Wade is a senior and LeBron’s oldest, Bronny James is a freshman.
