‘Empire,’ actress Taraji P. Henson celebrated her 49th birthday in style, hosting an epic 80’s themed birthday party in Chicago which included her fiancé, Kelvin Hayden, Mary J. Blige and Jennifer Hudson. While skating in her gold, glittery skates and a knee high skirt, the birthday girl says her body is still in recovery from the weekend (Sept. 15th) writing,
“SOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH FUN!!!! I am still floating!!! Thank you to EVERYONE who came out to help me celebrate my birthday. I pray y’all had as much fun as I did!!”

The party was packed with guests in their best 80s inspired looks and Henson’s friends came prepared.
Hudson looked amazing rocking a crinkly side ponytail with a oversized hoodie, shorts matched with leggings and a black Balenciaga fanny pack.

The fellow Virgo took to Instagram to write Henson a special birthday shoutout,
“We Virgo’s just want to have fun with the people we love , That’s just what we do ! Happy birthday Taraji P. Henson and thank u for having me and my crew ! The bday celebration is carrying on.”

In addition, beloved actress Tasha Smith who also attended the 80s themed party, wished her fellow ‘Empire,’ star a happy birthday looking fabulous wearing curly afro with black and white poke a dot jumpsuit. She writes,
“Celebrating my Empire sister’s birthday. And what a great time!!!!!”
