EXCLUSIVE: Kevin McCall Requests Joint Custody For Daughter W/ Eva Marcille, Reality Star Has NOT Been Served & Attorney Releases Statement
theJasmineBRAND exclusively reports, new details surrounding reports that Kevin McCall is taking legal action to have joint custody of the daughter he shares with Eva Marcille have been revealed.
Earlier today (Sept. 27th), reports circulated that Kevin McCall’s attorney, Admamma Mckinnon, filed legal documents alleging that his daughter’s mother – “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star, Eva Marcille – had deliberately kept him away from their 5-year-old daughter, Marley Rae, since she moved to Atlanta in 2015.
The former Chris Brown collaborator also wants Marley to have his last name again. Eva Marcille recently had Marley’s last name changed to her husband’s last name – Sterling. The “America’s Next Top Model” alum says she didn’t want her daughter to feel alienated, considering she and the rest of their household had the same last name.
A source tells us that Eva Marcille has NOT been served with any documents for any action against Eva concerning Marley. Sources also tell us that Eva filed a petition for Marley’s name change and the reason for that name change and properly served all interested parties and had proof everyone was served and notified, including having it published in the paper.
We’re also told that in order for Marley’s last name to be changed, Georgia law required that Eva prove to the court that Kevin has provided no support whatsoever to Marley for a continuous and consecutive period of 5 years.
Eva’s legal team at Dreyer Sterling, LLC tells us:
“To-date, our firm has not been served with any legal petitions or documents concerning our clients, Eva and Marley. If we receive any such filings, we will respond in court and handle the matter accordingly.”
Kevin McCall and Eva Marcille’s relationship ended due to claims of domestic violence on Kevin’s part. Eva filed a restraining order against him in 2014. Eva and attorney Michael Sterling married in 2018. The couple have a son and are expecting another child together.
