Gucci Mane Announces New Album ‘Woptober 2’ Dropping October 17th
Rapper Gucci Mane revealed on Monday (Sept. 30th) that he is set to release his sequel to his mixtape in 2016 with, Woptober 2. The Atlanta rapper shares the cover art for his October 17th release just four months after releasing his album, Delusions of Grandeur. On the cover, Gucci shows his best Kodak smile holding on to a vintage home phone while a waiter and masseuse are present. He writes with his announcement,
”Get ready for Woptober 2, coming 10/17 !!!”
The first Woptober hit the streets on October 14, 2016, and featured Rick Ross and Young Dolph. While no track listing was released with his reveal, Gucci is surely set to bring the heat in October just as the rapper’s first project of 2019. Gucci’s Delusions of Grandeur, which dropped in June, debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 and featured collaborations with Justin Bieber, Meek Mill, Rick Ross, Lil Uzi Vert, and more.
In a 2018 interview, Gucci labeled himself as the Best Rapper Alive,
100% me! Who doper than me, like for real? I want to hear y’all tell me, and why!
He adds in a few questions of other artists creditably,
I got a million reasons why I am, but why would somebody else be better? What they did? Who they help? What they been through? What’s they track record? Do they do what they say? How many hurdles have they jumped? How much opposition have they had? Did they have a cake walk? Did they do it by [themselves]? Were they blackballed? Did they have one of they own behind they back when they were doing it? Did they ever break? Did anybody take something from them? Did they ever snitch? I ain’t blemish.
Earlier this month, he dropped his new single “Richer Than Errybody” featuring YoungBoy Never Broke Again and DaBaby.
