Nipsey Hussle’s Family Granted Custody Of His 10-Year-Old Daughter
The custody battle for the daughter of late rapper and activist Nipsey Hussle has come to an end. According to reports, a judge granted his immediate family custody of Emani, 10, Tuesday (Oct. 15). His mother, Angelique Smith, his sister Samantha Smith and his brother Sam Asghedom are now Emani’s legal guardians after a court said they displayed enough evidence to prove their claims that Emani’s birth mother, Tanisha, is unfit to have Emani full time.
On the day of the judge’s decision, Tanisha posted a throwback photo of her and Hussle as well as a photo of her and Emani and wrote,
“I miss you.”
She also commented with a ring, a heart, and praying hands.
As for his youngest child, Kross, 3, Kross’s mother and Hussle’s long-time girlfriend actress Lauren London was given permission to manage Kross’s estate as he’s set to inherit half of Hussle’s estate. Emani will inherit the other half. According to reports, they could get $1 million each.
Hussle, whose real name is Ermias Asghedom, tragically died on March 31 after being gunned down in front of his store, The Marathon, in Crenshaw. The alleged shooter, Eric Holder, is awaiting trial as he has been charged for Hussle’s murder, as well as two counts of attempted murder for allegedly injuring two other men while shooting Hussle, and one count of possession of a firearm.
