Whoopi Goldberg Battles PETA Over Her Love For Bacon ‘Go Eat A Couch’

Whoopi Goldberg clapped back at PETA after it called out the actress for loving bacon. It started when Goldberg made comments about the popular dish on The View as her co-host Sunny Hostin tried to convince her to eat a piece of a Vegan dish.

“I don’t want that! I don’t want it, I don’t like it, I don’t care if you like it. I want you to have it. What I don’t want is no choice. And that’s what we found today. I like bacon! I know I’m not supposed to. I know it’s the scum of the earth, I like the bacon, I want the bacon, you don’t have to eat it. I don’t ask you to eat what I eat. But I don’t want you telling me I gotta eat that. I don’t care if it tastes like four thousand million dollars. No one should tell you that you can’t have something. If you’re gonna serve it, serve it and make sure everybody whose culinary tastes are not yours gets an opportunity.”

PETA caught wind of Goldberg’s remarks and posted a screenshot along with a disturbing and graphic video of a pig. It wrote,

“We can’t help but call out @WhoopiGoldbergfor her rant on @TheViewover… bacon. Really, Whoopi? Eating bacon is your Friday cause? Your “choice” really hurts. Be kind.”

Goldberg then responded and made it clear she’s not backing down from her love of bacon.

“Hey I understand @peta is making a fuss because I like bacon. i never said I was a vegan & just like I want choice over my body I want the same 4 what goes into my body. i would NEVER suggest that ANYONE pressure any 1 of YOU 2change your vegan habits. Go Eat a couch if you want.”
