Popeyes Chicken Sandwich Returning In Early November! Franchise To Hire 400 Extra Employees To Prepare
Like most of us, Popeyes is ready for the return of the chicken sandwich!
The fast-food chicken chain is reportedly hiring an extra 400 extra workers to prepare for the chicken sandwich’s comeback! Popeyes is also looking at putting two employees on sandwich duty at a time when the item returns. As for when that will be, reports say it will be back on the menu early next month.
It’s only been a few weeks since Popeyes sold out of its chicken sandwich around the nation. Sun Holdings, Inc.’s Chief Executive Officer Guillermo Perales said that the franchise wasn’t prepared for the response it would get over the sandwich, but added that things would be different this time around.
Sun Holdings runs roughly 150 Popeyes locations.
Popeyes’s parent company Restaurant Brands International also said in a statement,
“Our franchisees have worked to increase staffing. We have been working diligently to bring the sandwich back to our restaurants soon, as we know our guests are anxiously anticipating its return. As soon as we’re ready to announce a date, we will let the world know!”
The company made roughly $65 million before the sandwich sold out.
Y’all. We love that you love The Sandwich. Unfortunately we’re sold out (for now). pic.twitter.com/Askp7aH5Rr
