Donald Trump Compares His Impeachment To Jussie Smollett Scandal: It’s A Scam!

Donald Trump has gone from comparing his impeachment to lynching to comparing it to disgraced actor Jussie Smollett’s controversy.

Smollett made headlines after he claimed he was the victim of a racist and homophobic attack by the hands of Trump supporters. He alleged they tied a noose around his neck and poured bleach all over him while screaming “This is MAGA country,” referencing Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan. Now, he’s currently being sued by the city of Chicago for more than $100,000 as there is an investigation into whether he staged the whole thing.

And Trump said his impeachment is very similar.

“You have the case of this wise guy Jussie Smollett, who beat up… himself. And he said MAGA country did it, MAGA country. He said it’s a hate crime. And it’s a scam, it’s a real big scam, just like the impeachment of your President is a scam.”

He added,

“And then you look [at]what’s going on. Smollett is still trying to get away with it. He would have been better off if he paid his $100,000 bill. Chicago is unfortunately the worst sanctuary city in America. Chicago protects criminals at a level few could even imagine.”

This is’t the first time Trump has called out Smollett. He previously called for the FBI and Department of Justice to investigate Smollett, calling him an “embarrassment.”

Meanwhile, Smollett was charged with 16 felony counts for allegedly lying to police. He maintained his innocence after all of the charges were dropped.
