Andy Cohen Explains Why Marlo Hampton Doesn’t Have A Peach
Andy Cohen on What’s Keeping Marlo Hampton From Earning Her Peach: “We Don’t Have A Consensus Among The Group”
Are Marlo Hampton‘s castmates the reason she hasn’t become an official peach-holder on the “Real Housewives of Atlanta?” She has been a part of the franchise since season four, and fans often ask, “What is keeping Marlo from holding her own peach?” As we EXCLUSIVELY reported, it was once rumored that when she said the f-word during an argument with Sheree Whitfield in South Africa, it put a sour taste in creator, Andy Cohen‘s, mouth.

In a sit down with Kandi Burrus, Andy Cohen finally revealed the reason Marlo isn’t one of the gang…sort of. In a roundabout answer, Andy Cohen revealed that the rest of the housewives of Atlanta may not agree that Marlo should be branded as an official member. Kandi shared that she’s always been in support of it.
“Kandi Burruss: Marlo…why is she never getting a peach?
Andy Cohen: I think it’s preliminary to say that she’s never gonna get a peach.
Kandi: Well, at this point.
Andy: Right. There is kind of- I was telling Marlo [at] Gay Pride. She was on our float. The night before I was at this gay hip-hop party. And I was leaving very late and these guys were outside and they were like, ‘Give Marlo a peach!’ It was so awesome!
Kandi: And I used to call you and tell you you should give Marlo a peach!
Andy: I think the short answer on that is: we don’t have a consensus among the group about that-
Kandi: Okay, well I’m gonna keep putting it in my bid.”

Andy insists that an unbeknownst beef isn’t keeping Marlo from holding her own peach.
“Andy: And it’s not that I don’t love her, but she’s all over the show- that’s why I think sometimes people get hung up on semantics. And “The Housewives” is not indentured servitude. It is not something that, you know- people volunteer to do it. They’re there because they either want to be or they don’t. So trust and believe that people are being taken care of in one way or another…she has a great attitude. I feel like everything’s cool.”
Does Marlo Hampton deserve a peach? Let us know in the comments.
