Jordin Sparks’ Defends Her Husband Pictured With Female Friend: “If Your Significant Other Is Making You Cut Off Your Friends, Get Out!”

If singer/actress Jordin Sparks isn’t tripping, why should we? The “Waitress” star’s husband, Dana Isaiah Thomas, recently posted an Instagram photo laughing with a blonde-haired, blue eyed female friend at a restaurant that sent social media users into a frenzy!

Dana Thomas says that woman is nothing more than a high school friend. His caption read:

“@_danaisaiah Not very many people can… 1). Get me out the house past 10:30 2). Get me to smile this big 3). Have me talking about high school Shoutout to a real one”

Commenters immediately demanded answers on who the woman was and why Jordin Sparks wasn’t present for the friendly hangout session. Dana responded:

“@_danaisaiah D*mn so upset over a caption for someone who has been in my life since i was a kid. Y’all wild. I actually have a real love for my friends you can keep cringing though, just know it’s not good for the face. Adds unnecessary wrinkles”

Even family friend, former “Glee” star Amber Riley got a kick out of the QWERTY riots in Dana’s comment section.

But, Jordin had the last laugh – revealing that she knows her husband’s friend well, and suggesting that it’s healthy for significant others to keep their friends. She said:

“Y’all. Here’s a message: if your significant other is making you cut off your really good, stand up, been there since forever friends, male or female…GET OUT. (Not talking about the friends that are toxic/frenemies, that’s a problem and should be addressed.) That’s controlling/toxic and people are NOT objects you own. Again, people are NOT OBJECTS YOU OWN. Friends are super important for your well-being especially those that knew you before certain huge life changes happen. It’s HEALTHY. I hope you all find someone that treats you like my husband and his friends do. They are truly the best. May the odds be ever in your favor…Awww I love you both! She’s such a treasure!”

Dana Isaiah and Jordin Sparks tied the knot in 2017, and welcomed their son, Dana Isaiah Thomas, Jr., in 2018.
