George Lopez — Secret Service Looking Into His Joke About President Donald Trump
An Instagram comment from George Lopez and Donald Trump could get the comedian in trouble with the U.S. Secret Service.
George Lopez previously reacted to reports that the Iranian government put out an $80 million bounty for the President’s head after he ordered a strike that killed the leader of the Iranian military earlier this month.
George Lopez, who was charged with battery in 2018 for allegedly beating up a Donald Trump supporter, said of the alleged bounty:
“We’ll do it for half”

A representative for Lopez told FOX News it was just
“a joke.”
While it’s not clear if the actual bounty is real or fake news, Lopez’s comment reportedly caught the attention of U.S. officials, and according to reports Tuesday (Jan. 7), they could be showing up at his door.
Authorities are said to be looking into Lopez’s comment to see if it poses an actual threat. They could go as far as talking to Lopez about it in person.
Meanwhile, Twitter users have mixed reactions on whether Lopez should be under investigation.
