Oprah Winfrey’s OWN Network Will Not Renew “The Book Of John Gray” For 4th Season
Is the book of John Gray being closed? A spokesperson for media mogul Oprah Winfrey‘s OWN Network has reportedly confirmed that Pastor John’s and First Lady Aventer Gray‘s inspirational reality show will not be renewed for a fourth season. The rep did not respond to questions about their reasoning for axing the show.
“The Book of John Gray’s” cancellation may come as a surprise to fans, because while addressing his 2019 Lamborghini-gifting scandal, Pastor John Gray reportedly informed fans that season four was in the works. He said:
“For those of you who don’t know, my wife and I have a show on the Opray Winfrey Network. We’re working on Season 4 right now. Shhh, don’t tell anybody. That’s four seasons, OK? And I’m not an actor on it; I’m a producer of it. Get that straight.”
Thankfully, this may not be the end of the road for the Gray family’s television presence. Their spokeswoman, Holly Baird, confirmed that the Relentless Church pastors are:
“…considering other TV and film opportunities.”
Unfortunately, those opportunities may not be filmed in their Greenville, South Carolina. The previous pastors of the church building from Redemption Church recently filed to have Relentless evicted from the building over a leasing dispute. On January 2nd, Pastor John Gray issued this statement:
“We stand behind our original statement and are confident that the payment amounts required under the leases referenced in the complaint have and will continue to be paid. Our efforts at mediation and with wise counsel to present every detail absent of legal have proven fruitless on their end multiple times.”
