EXCLUSIVE: RHOA’s ‘The Cookie Lady’ Says Her “Intentions Were Not To Hurt” Tanya Sam + She Addresses Backlash: I Can Handle The Hate!
While this season of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” has been explosive already, one of the most recent screaming matches was centered around a new face. Known as “The Cookie Lady”, Shiana White, owner of aHauteCookie in Atlanta, made her first appearance on “RHOA” in episode 11 of the current 12th season, which aired on Jan. 12.
In her debut clip, she reveals that Tanya Sam’s long-time fiancé Paul Judge flirted and was “all over” her when they met.
Still, it was her return on the Feb. 9 episode that sparked controversy as she popped up at brunch with Tanya Sam, Eva Marcille, and Cynthia Bailey, with help from Kenya Moore. It was clear things weren’t getting resolved as Tanya Sam said she didn’t see what the big deal was about Paul Judge’s interaction with the Cookie Lady. The two went back and forth before the brunch crew disbanded.
Now, she’s giving her side in a theJasmineBRAND exclusive. As for how she feels about her portrayal on the popular reality show, she alluded that editing played a factor.
“I know myself and who I am at the beginning and end of the day. I also know what it takes to make a successful reality show and they have to edit to bring the drama and keep ratings.”
But she’s not bothered by the criticism she’s received since the latest episode aired, and said she has no regrets.
“I grew up in South Central LA so I can handle the hate….Some of it is funny…I don’t regret ANYTHING EVER! Everything happens for a reason and it has already been written!
Despite Tanya Sam’s seemingly nonchalant reaction to the drama, Shiana White insists that Paul Judge’s interaction with her was
“inappropriate and a bit disrespectful … seeing he has a whole package at home all wrapped up tight!”
She added that she wishes Sam
“would’ve had an open mind about it, seeing as how I was invited to tell her, I’m sure it made her respond how she has.”
Still, she said she hopes she and Sam can settle their differences.
“I would like to… My intentions were not to hurt her.”
Only time will tell if they’ll hash things out at the reunion.
In the meantime, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” airs Sundays at on Bravo at 8/7c.
