Mariah Carey Celebrates Her 50th Birthday In The Studio [Photo]

Songstress Mariah Carey celebrated her 50th birthday on Friday (March 27th), in the iconic singer’s home studio.

Mariah Carey, who appears to be recording new music, was spotted with a fresh natural face wearing black headphones while standing in front of a microphone in her photo. She reveals on her birthday, new music is on the horizon. 

In true Mariah fashion, the R&B diva wore a white t-shirt with her photo on the front of the shirt while hair was pulled back and parted.

The last time Mariah released a new record was in 2018, with her fifteenth studio album, ‘Caution.’

In addition, Mariah joined DJ Suss One’s Instagram Live show on Friday were the singer attempted to reveal details about her new track. However, Mariah was interrupted by Suss One and gave an hilarious reaction.

Mariah’s boyfriend Bryan Tanaka also honored the star on her special day with a throwback photo of the couple along with the hashtag,

“#HappyAnniversary”

The Grammy award winning singer has previously addressed her feelings about the correct way to refer to her birthday, which she prefers to call her anniversary. She said in a 2014 interview with Observer,

“I don’t count years but I definitely rebuke them… I have anniversaries, not birthdays, because I celebrate life, darling.”

As reported earlier this year, the iconic singer was named as one of the notable artists who will be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame scheduled to take place on June 11 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.
