Drake Talks Working On His Upcoming Album: This Is Probably The Most Music I’v Ever Been Sitting On

Rapper Drake has found the bright side of being forced to quarantine amid the coronavirus pandemic. While the entire country has been put on governmental stay-at-home orders in protection of the rapidly spreading illness, Drake has been keeping busy by preparing his upcoming sixth studio album. He first hinted at new music last December when he appeared as DaBaby‘s surprise guest at a Toronto show.

He recently went into detail about his recording process in an Instagram Live interview with Diddy:

“I’m working on the album. I’ve been working on it a while now. And like I said, another silver lining is when God does get you to sit down- I remember the last time I had to sit down was when I tore my ACL, and I made a great album out of that. And, obviously, God has us all inside the house right now sitting down right. So the amount of focus I’ve been able to put into this album is probably way different than it would have been if I would’ve had to go do the residency in Vegas…so I’m saying all that to say this is the most excited about an album I’ve been in a long time…This is probably the most music I’v ever been sitting on. I’m hype!”

He also hinted at the leaked songs surfacing on social media:

“A lot of little stuff has been trickling out, but all the stuff on the album is fresh. It’s brand new, and I’m excited.”
