DJ Jazzy Jeff Details Double Pneumonia Diagnosis w/ Will Smith: I Got Into Bed, And I Don’t Remember The Next 10 Days!

Hip-hop fans were shocked to find out one half of DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince duo had been afflicted with, what he thinks was, the coronavirus. Last month, Will Smith‘s legendary counterpart revealed that he had fallen ill with double-pneumonia after a trip. His symptoms mirrored that of a COVID-19 patient.

In a sneak peek of Will Smith’s “Will From Home” Snapchat series, Jeff went into shocking detail about his recovery:

“I came home from my trip. I was like, ‘I feel like I’m coming down with something’ and got into bed, and I don’t remember the next 10 days. I had a temperature that reached 103. I had the chills. I lost sense of smell. I lost sense of taste.”

Despite showing symptoms of the rapidly spreading virus, DJ Jazzy Jeff couldn’t be tested due to lack of testing kits on-hand. He said:

“They gave me a flu test, and when I went and got the chest X-ray, she came in and said, ‘You have pneumonia in both your lungs.’”

Will Smith joked about getting the news from Jazzy Jeff’s wife, Lynette:

“Lynette doesn’t panic, and she called me with the panic vibes. I was like, ‘Not my DJ!’”

However, Jazzy Jeff warns fans to continue to be cautious in their daily life:

“Unfortunately, people think we’re at the end [of the pandemic], and I think we’re really at the beginning.”
