City Girls Release New Album ‘City On Lock’ Amid Leak, Features Doja Cat, Lil Baby & More
The Miami duo City Girls dropped their long-awaited sophomore album, ‘City on Lock,’ Friday (June 19th), apparently, a little sooner than expected. Yung Miami and JT emerged from lockdown linking up for a 15-track set including appearances from Doja Cat, Yo Gotti, Lil Durk, and Lil Baby. However, earlier that day, their highly-anticipated album leaked, prompting a sooner release than expected.
Before official releasing the project, Yung Miami took to her IG stories and appeared to reveal how frustrated she was with the news that the album was reportedly leaked online. The rapper shared,
“I’m so f***in mad ppl are so f****ng evil y’all leave me thee f**k alone!”
After moving up the album’s debut, the girls took to Instagram to announce and address its controversial leaking. They wrote,
“CITY. ON. LOCK. OUT NOW! We worked so hard on this project. We want to thank EVERYONE for always supporting us and being in our corner. We have always wanted to give yal the music yal deserved no matter what. City Girls & City Boys STAND TF UP! Cuz the city on motherf*cking LOCK.”
‘City On Lock,’ marks the City Girls’ follow-up to 2018’s ‘Girl Code,’ which featured their smash remix of “Twerk” featuring Cardi B. That song marked their first entry on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 after debuting at number 92 and since peaked at number 29.
In addition, this will be the duo’s first project since J.T.’s release from prison in October. Yung Miami also recently welcomed a daughter with producer Southside last fall.
Soon after their album leak, the City Girls started trending worldwide on social media. Check out some of the most hilarious reaction:

The City Girls also released an official video for ‘Jobs,’, which shows the pair in the video unhappily work at a fast food joint, taking their frustration out on the customers. The rest of the video finds Yung Miami taking advantage of her OnlyFans account while JT looks to enjoy a lavish night out.
