Eazy-E’s Daughters Have Heated Exchange After Megan Thee Stallion Samples Late Rapper’s Song: You’re Delusional!
Megan Thee Stallion‘s latest single, “Girls In The Hood” has sparked a major family feud between Eazy E’s daughters. The song features a sample and lyric interpolations of the Eric “Eazy E” Wright staple song, “Boyz In The Hood.”
Eazy E’s daughter, rapper/”Growing Up Hip-Hop: Atlanta” star, Reemarkable, says industry figures allow other artists to use her father’s musical contributions, but she and her siblings haven’t been permitted to. Reemarkable told Instagram followers:
“I’m slick bothered. I don’t really get bothered. But I’m not bothered by these dope a** artists that’s making these dope a** pieces of merch, or these dope a** musicians that’s making these dope a** songs. As long as y’all payin’ homage to my father, I f*ck with it 100%, right? What I’m bothered by is the people in the background that press the okay button and say, ‘Oh okay, drop it! We cosign! We write off on it!’ ‘Cause he got kids that y’all won’t write sh*t off for! We’ve been trying forever! Y’all know how many times that people come to me like, ‘Ree! Remake one of your dad’s songs! You dope as f*ck! Remake ‘F*ck the Police!’ You been goin’ hard when it comes down to Black Lives Matter. We need that!’ And I can’t. I got siblings that be wanting to do so much stuff in the likeness of my father, but we can’t unless we wanna get some papers thrown on our table- cease and desist. That sh*t crazy! Somebody tell me how we stop that! ‘Cause we want our daddy’s legacy.”
Reemarkable’s caption read:
“So tired of the bullsh*t games we gotta keep playing , I’m done being quite ! We want involvement when it come to our daddy , tired of my sister crying about the unfairness . I’m fed the f*ck up … WE EAT OFF NOTHING MY DADDY LEFT BEHIND. What ever y’all see Us have we hustled to get . Sh*t too lame we get papers thrown at us but others don’t . We just wanna be apart of the legacy too …”
However, she still supported Megan Thee Stallion’s song.
But Eazy E’s daughter, Erin “Ebie” Wright, came forward with her own video, refusing to claim Reemarkable as her father’s child. Known for her appearance on MTV’s “My Super Sweet 16,” Erin said:
“I have been getting tagged in so many different posts online talking about ‘Eazy E’s daughter is upset behind Meg The Stallion doing ‘Girls In The Hood,’ and all this stuff. And I just wanna say that girl that’s speaking out on it – Ree – you guys have got to stop getting me confused with this girl. I don’t know her. My father didn’t know her, and it’s really strange to me that every singe time something that has to do with my dad comes up, she’s the first one coming to the internet to speak up as if she’s the spokesperson for my father or my family. It’s really really f*ckin’ weird…the only person who has been fighting and is still fighting ’til this day for my father’s estate and to make things right is me- me and my mother, Tracy Jernigan.”
Erin, too, supports Megan’s song.
“All these artists and all these people coming out doing something that has to do with Eazy E- again, I love it. I absolutely love it because I feel my father hasn’t gotten his proper respect…so I love anytime anybody makes him even more relevant…”
Reemarkable clapped back with a graveside photo with all of her siblings except Erin. She said:
“This is what’s most important right now. I want my family to eat , f*ck all that jealous a** sh*t . Be hating the wrong people . Sad”
Another of Eazy E’s daughters – Erica – got props from Reemarkable in regards to keeping their father’s legacy alive. This is, seemingly, in response to Erin’s comments.
Erica and Ebie also got into a heated exchange that Erica posted on Instagram.
Reemarkable also stepped back in with a few more words for Ebie.
That seemed to be the last straw for Erin Wright. With multiple Instagram Story posts, she threatened to expose her alleged siblings for two-faced behavior towards Reemarkable:
“All you rappers and athletes better stop f*cking these h*es and letting them have babies on you and you never know them .. cuz eventually those babies grow up and cause problems in your REAL FAMILY !”
“My dad too real for some bullsh*t and FAKE SH*T !…blood don’t give you the WRIGHT to do whatever tf floats your boat at the expense of me and my father ! F*ck that !!!! people be so bold with me … but ain’t bold with the people who took everything from us … To my sister Erica … whole you’re posting dumb sh*t . Don’t make ME pull receipts about how you feel this girl don’t have NO right speaking on OUR FATHER”
