Long-time best friends Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King have reunited after spending three months separately in quarantine.
The reunion was documented as they enjoyed lunch at Oprah Winfrey’s Santa Barbara, Calif. home, while still social distancing. Oprah Winfrey says in a video,
“It’s a beautiful Saturday afternoon and uh, we’re here with family. We’ve been quarantined for, since March, and then we have new additional family arriving and they’re under quarantine.”
As the camera pans to Gayle King and her family sitting at a completely different table, Gayle chimes in and clarifies,
“We’ve been quarantined since March too, but in New York.”
Oprah mentions that they are following the rules and social distancing. Gayle stated,
“Taking our COVID tests on Wednesday so we can join the big people table!”
Oprah is clearly one to follow the quarantine rules. She and her long-time boyfriend, Stedman Graham, reunited after she made him self-quarantine in the guest house for 14 days.

Still, Oprah visited Stedman Graham multiple times and chatted with him from afar.
Gayle King, host of “CBS This Morning” also shared her experience about being in quarantine while single. She admitted,
“It’s true, I’m single. And honest to God guys, I have never minded being single because my life is so full. I get to go to a lot of stuff. I know a lot of great people. So, I’ve never minded, but this is something… But now that this is it, it feels very, very daunting and actually very, very scary to me. Because I just think, there’s no end in sight. That’s what’s so troubling about this.”

She said,
“I’ve talked to single friends about this, Sheryl- men and women! I had a male friend of mine who said, ‘I’m even a loner, and this is very troubling to me.’ I think there is a good story there about why this bothers us.”
Gayle continued to explain her worries. She expressed,
“Just the thought that I don’t even know when I will see them in person is upsetting. I don’t know when Oprah and I will be able to visit is upsetting. So, all the people that I really cherish the most, I don’t know when that is going to be. That said, you know I sit here and knock on wood, healthy…people are dealing with a whole lot worse, and I don’t minimize that.”
