Kanye West Seemingly Confirms He’s Running For President To Hurt Joe Biden’s Race
Rapper, fashion designer, and now presidential hopeful Kanye West seems to have confirmed the suspicions of reports that his campaign for the 2020 presidency is an attempt to take votes away from former Vice President Joe Biden. In an interview via text with Forbes magazine’s Randall Lane on Thursday (Aug. 6th), Kanye West suggested he had no problem with damaging the campaign of Joe Biden and said,
“I’m not denying it; I just told you.”
Kanye West also said he’s “walking” for president instead of running. Randall Lane mentioned to Kanye that he could not really win during this election because, at this point, his name will not be listed on enough ballots to get the 270 electoral votes needed for victory. Kanye responded to this information with,
“I’m not going to argue with you. Jesus is King.”
Although Kanye has recently renounced his support of current President Donald Trump, he seems to still be connected with his administration and is working with the Secretary of Education, Betsy DeVos.
“I’m meeting with Betsy DeVos [the current Secretary of Education] about the post-Covid curriculum.”
He also praised Trump he’s
“the closest president we’ve had in years to allowing God to still be part of the conversation.”
His comments come off the heels of his former friend John Legend seemingly calling him out on Twitter. The Grammy-winning singer and pianist retweeted information from a news article that indicated that a Republican lawyer had actually worked to get Kanye on the Wisconsin ballot. John Legend replied,
“Anyway…. Anyone reckless and/or misinformed enough to fall for the okey doke probably wasn’t voting for Biden (or voting at all).”
