For all of you who missed the point: where are the darkskin women? why are we not being represented in a show about black love?

dear fellow lightskins, the problem ain’t that we’re represented in this video. the problem is that darkskin women, our sisters who we should be supporting, are not represented ?? understand? good, get a juice box n chill out.

We are so divided as a ppl it is pathetic. The old are divided from the young, male vs female, & now light skin vs dark skin. Instead of focusing on commonalities we obsess over differences. Unity is nowhere in sight & it is so unfortunate.

normalize dark skinned black women in love

me waiting for a darkskinned non-man to pop up on the screen ???
— dyke doll (@imnotbijou) August 14, 2020
Interesting the amount of people acknowledging this problem because its blatant.
But people tend to gaslight darkskin women when they express the pain they feel surrounding colorism.
Imagine how many of us are pessimistic about love because of it.
