‘Real Housewives Of Potomac’ Star Ashley Darby Says She Smells Her Husband’s Underwear & Checks His Texts As She Addresses Cheating Rumors

On Sunday night’s (Sept. 13th) episode of Real Housewives of Potomac, Ashley Darby received information about her husband having an alleged affair outside of their marriage. In one clip,  Candiace Dillard Bassett shows Ashley Darby a text message thread that alleges that her husband, Michael Darby, claimed he had a wife and a boyfriend while at a strip club. He also allegedly asked to meet a person at a nearby hotel.

Later in the scene, she reveals that she goes to great lengths to see if he’s cheating on her.

“As far as I know everything is well… That’s why I’m a little, um shocked. I don’t just ask questions. I read emails, text messages, I sniff underwear, everything. Since I met him. One time he did come home smelling like perfume and I was upset. He said ‘I’m sorry I was at the strip club.’ And this is when I was pregnant and very sensitive… He stopped going to strip clubs when I was pregnant.”

Candiace Dillard Bassett and Ashley Darby have had a rocky friendship, although now the ladies are in a good space, Ashley suggested she’s not completely convinced about what Candiace Dillard Bassett had to say.

“Considering the source of where the information was coming from and our history, I was taking it with a grain of salt.”

Ashley Darby recently announced that she is expecting baby number two with her husband Michael Darby.

She wrote on Sept. 8th:

“There’s no hiding this big belly anymore! We are elated to share our news with you! To say we are thankful is an absolute understatement #RHOP”
