Wendy Williams Says NeNe Leakes Left Real Housewives of Atlanta Over Money, But Adds “I Don’t Believe She WON’T Be Back”
Nene Leakes‘ announcement that she will not be returning to Bravo TV’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta “wasn’t an easy decision” for the reality star, who shared the news of her departure via a video posted to social media Sep. 17.
Nene’s close friend and fellow television personality, Wendy Williams is offering some insight into her friend’s departure after being on the show since it’s 2008 inception.
On Monday, Wendy Williams returned to her self-titled daytime talk show with a belief of her own. She stated,
“It’s a money thing.”
Offering more clarity, the talk show host continued:
“She said she can’t do it. She knows what she’s worth and she can’t be there. There’s not enough filming time for her to make sense and there’s not enough money in it for her to make sense.”
She added,
“NeNe will always be the queen bee and I don’t believe she won’t be back. I think she likes a lot of attention and I think Bravo likes to boil the pot and bring them back.”
In conclusion, Williams claims
“I don’t believe anything about the NeNe thing.”
It’s unclear if Williams has any evidence backing her beliefs that Nene will be back on the show at some point but it looks like the friendship between the two have been repaired after having issues in the past.
Wendy Williams has even dished on elements of their relationship on her talk show. Watch video below.
After an outpour of love and encouraging words from peers and fans of Nene, she took to her social media page to thank everyone and show that she’s still in good spirits.
